Business cards

Getting my business cards ready to print. It is amazing to me what a learning curve all of these business/photography things have. I don't feel like I am an extremely smart person but I get by. I usually figure things out pretty easily, especially if they interest me but goodness this is humbling. Guess I needed it? Just printing these cards out with the jpeg file had to be googled to get directions. This whole new venture is a learning experience and not just on the photography end. Well let me know what you think of my business card. Hope you have all had a blessed week!

Have a great weekend!

Blogger Newbie

I have been working on setting up my blog and tweaking it to make it more interesting to read. Boy I didn't know that when I set out to do photography part-time I would have to be a computer whiz in the process. There are so many more aspects that go into photography that people aren't aware of. It is more than just taking a good picture! I am loving delving into this world of photography and all the things that go along with it. Many days I feel like it stretches my brain capacity but I take a break, consult my photographer friends, and then go back and try again. I would love to be able to practice more but lately it has been just too darn hot. I wouldn't know where else I would live since I have never lived anywhere except Texas but I hate the heat.
Here's hoping for a cool front...
I know the pictures of the kids have nothing to do with my post but these are couple of my favorites so far this summer!

Here we go! I am now a blogger!!

Guess this is my first OFFICIAL post. I have been encouraged to start a blog to post my photography images, as well as have a place to show prospective clients my work. I am starting a part-time photography business a little reluctantly. I have developed a passion for photography the last few years but it has gotten more serious the last couple of years. I have begun devoting much of my spare time, of which there is little, to practicing and perfecting my photography. I have taken some classes relating to photography, including a class through McClennan Community College, and two online classes with a professional photographer in Arizona. I am continually perusing professional photography resources online and through print resources. I want to offer quality images affordably so families and individuals can document the special times in their lives through art.
