FYI...Comments

For those of you that have been e-mailing me to tell me you can't comment on my posts, I think I fixed it.  I have set it so that anyone can leave a comment, not just those who are registered google users.  So try it again and let me know if it doesn't work!
Have a great week!  One more week until we get an extra hour of sleep - can't wait!!! :)

Halloween 2010

We had such a good time.  I would have to say it was more low-key than our Halloween's usually are.  We normally have a couple of different events, including working our fall festival at church the entire night and trick-or-treating downtown, along with hitting a few of our favorite friend's houses along the way for candy.  This year Russell had to work a school dance so he didn't get to be with us the whole night.  I decided not to work the fall festival at church after struggling to keep my head above water this fall with all my commitments.  I just wanted some time with the kids to take a breath.  It was low key but really fun anyway.  Grama made/accessorized the costumes, as usual, and did a great job.  Peyton was a "fighterfighter" and Jaedyn chose to be a veternarian.  Both looked cute.  Jaedyn has been sick with strep the last couple of days but  she was feeling better and no longer contagious so she got to go trick-or-treating with us.  So here are a few pictures from yesterday.  The lighting wasn't so great in the front yard right before we left the house so my pictures aren't what I would have hoped.  However that is about all the kids would allow - they were ready to get on with the festivities.  :)  Hope you have had a great Halloween weekend!

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

Well we finally got to go on our annual October traditional visit to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch.  The kids have been asking when we were going.  The only problem was that the weather was very uncooperative.  We decided to get there early before the rain hit since we knew it was coming.  We got to spend about 30 minutes there before it started.  I got my annual photo shoot (although limited in time) and the kids got a small fill of the bounce houses, pumpkin picking, snow cones, and hay maze climbing.  It was a fun time but not near long enough.  Maybe next year the weather will cooperate more!

Pumpkin Patch Snapshots

Courtesy of my friend Brittney Hejl, of Embrace Photography.  She is one of my photography friends. I have been blessed the last few months to get to know her better and to work/learn photography with her.  Thanks  Brittney for doing these of the kids.  Love them!

Few more Sneak Peeks for Glasscocks...

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.  Blogger has been doing some weird stuff and posting my pictures all strange.  Finally gave up and now I am trying again tonight...

Isn't she just beautiful?  Reagan, thanks for letting me do your senior pictures.  You were fun to work with!  So used to working with little ones, this took me out of my comfort zone.  Good for me - was so much fun!!
Have a great weekend.  Hopefully I will be back with some great pumpkin patch pictures!  Wish me luck!
God bless!

My new favorite...

The Whitehead Family part 1

I had the privelege of taking pictures for a friend of mine yesterday. What a pleasure it was! Love being around kids interacting with their parents. Those are my favorite pictures - those that show the connection between members of a family. These are just a few of my favorites. More to come tomorrow. (hopefully if I can get all the rest edited:)

Have a wonderful Sunday!

McKenzie, part 1

Can you believe that this beautiful young lady was in my Kindergarten class 10 years ago? It just doesn't seem possible that she has grown up so much (and that I am old enough to have had her in my class all those years ago - I must have started teaching VERY young :) Anyway, I was so blessed to get to spend some time yesterday evening photographing her. I was so happy that she was happy with several of the shots. This is just part 1. More to come but I couldn't wait to share!

Oh - and on a side note - I got a pleasant surprise when I got home today. Seems a few people saw my cutesie pictures of my little man at the parade waving to the fire engines and have asked to put the pictures on the fire department's website. I am honored! I just adore his little hand and his excitement at seeing them! Pleased to share that with others! :)

The Parade

The kids loved the parade. We have never been but I am sure it will be an annual thing now. (especially for the candy alone :) Peyton loved the "fighterfighters". There were fire engines from all over the area - probably 5 or 6. He loved the sirens, the men in uniform, and the cool things on the trucks. I think these pictures are so sweet!

Pioneer Days 2010

Yesterday Jaedyn performed in a demonstration with the GymTricks gymnastics group at Pioneer Days. This may seem like a little thing - However, to those who know her and her personality they will appreciate the "big deal" this was. Her standard line when asked to take part in anything involving performance is "I don't want people looking at me!" So I have to show a few pictures of the great job she did and her courage to have "people looking" at her! :)
